Subject: Need to return our dog Leo (was Cooper when we adopted him)
Attached are the pictures of Leo whom we need to return after adopting him last September with the help of former Colorado Rescurer.
Overall, Leo is a very sweet dog. We have 3 kids (11, 9 and 5) and for the most part he has been very good with them. He does really well with our 5-year-old daughter. She can pretty much do anything she wants to him without him reacting or getting upset. He spends most of his day sleeping on the floor next to me as I work. He doesn’t bark too much when he is outside but will bark at any strange noise when he is inside the house. He is an excellent watch dog. Over the last 6 months we have become increasingly worried when other children are around. Our kids have different friends over just about every day. Leo does not like new people coming over and never seems to relax when a stranger is in the house. He is very afraid of new people and new situations.
Leo is very dog friendly and seems to make friends with just about any dog. He is very relaxed and happy when I take him over to my sister’s house to visit her two Rottweilers. We think Leo needs a home without a lot of visitors, especially younger children. We think he would excel in a home with another dog to keep him company.
